Fingerprinting!

Yes! Our fingerprinting appointment letter has arrived. Wednesday morning we will get fingerprinted for approval from the Department of Homeland Security to adopt a child from another country. Other than a few things we need to get notarized, this approval is the final piece we need for our dossier of papers that will go overseas.

Our plan right now is to work with Hong Kong. Like China, they have many waiting children there. The process is very similar to what we are familiar with from China but there are a few differences like travel time and some of the paperwork.

I'm glad to be moving to the next step.
