August 3, 2005 - mailed I600A application
August 31, 2005 - fingerprinting appointment
September 16, 2005 - home study complete and mailed to DHS (Department of Homeland Security)
Now we wait for our I171H form which basically says that we're ok people and we have the government's permission to adopt a baby.
Next steps will be:
- bring all paperwork to be notarized
- bring all paperwork to Lansing to be state sealed
- send all paperwork to Chicago to be authenticated and translated
- send all paperwork to China
- wait for login date (LID)
Once we have our login date we wait for our referral (7-8 months). We'll keep you updated as things happen.
